I wouldn't mind being a diplomat for the alliance but like I said I can only be on during the weekday.

I was just igmed by hoodlum ville of the trinity2(one of the guys that I had peace with) He is being commanded to clear his 7x7 by his alliance. He has told me that he will just send some raids( I suppose just to keep his alliance happy) and save me for last so I don't know what I have instore. I don't want any reins for now. I am going to try and deal with this diplomatically.

That was very good information, it caused me to send this to the Trinity2 diplomat. I'll let you know what he says.

Hi bill!

My intelligence reports indicate that Trinity2 has given orders for some (or all) members to clear their 7x7.

As you are no doubt aware many =UTF= members are in those 7x7's. We like and respect Trinity (esp Trinity2) so I am calling to ask if you are really serious about our friendship? If you are then I humbly request we sign an official NAP agreement, because more and more of your members are going to be hunting =UTF= heads if we do not act now.

Trinity could easily wipe =UTF= out, but is this the way you would treat those who have stood by you in the past?

Please let me know your thoughts on this matter.
_Maximus

I can't remember, has there been any discussion of moving our palyers into more closely knit areas? This coul dbe a solution for players in this situation as well. Not that we should always just run away, but if we had them build their second or third villages in a "stronghold" area, they could get away from the clearing zone. And we could possibly work out a temporary cease fire from the alliance trying to clear that area.

I second that, it will help with the end game as well.

vw67sqback, great idea, but where?

Any suggestions on specific locations for a stronghold?

I'm really not even going to touch this one, only because I haven't studied the layout of the alliance that well. You and a few others seem to have a really good grasp on the big picture. Put out some suggestions and I'll be happy to give my feedback. I was thinking maybe even a few different, strategically located strongholds, maybe at least per quadrant or something.

Usually there are a few areas, anywhere from 14x14 to 35x35 that seem to be made for strongholds, maybe it's my imagination but they seem to have increased after the quest system and random Natar spawn were implemented. They have very few 4446s but are full of croppers, several 5436s, and crop oases. The problem of course is finding them, but having one of the top ten in each quadrant to claim them would be great asap. Sure it cuts down on farms and available oases but as long as you have "feeders" elsewhere it's not a problem. I have some extra time tonight and I will start searching.
